Sumner Meeting Room

Join friends and neighbors in authentic, open dialogue with compassion and empathy. Savor tea from around the world as we come together in solidarity for deeper conversation, reflection, and action.

The Sumner Pierce County Library is planning SolidariTea in partnership with CommUNITY Activist and Organizer Immaculate Ferreria.

SolidariTea is a series of facilitated community conversations. Join friends and neighbors in authentic, open dialogue with compassion and empathy. Savor tea from around the world as we come together in solidarity.

Our goals are to:

  • create space for deeper conversation, connection, reflection, and action
  • build bridges of understanding and respect across difference
  • share from our experiences and learn from one another in order to grow and move forward as a community

Throughout 2024, we will be discussing topics informed by community members. In May, we discuss White Privilege, White Supremacy, and Allyship. Join us on the first Sunday of each month from 2 – 4pm for future conversations.

  • Food and beverages will be provided.
  • Families are welcome. Activities for children of all ages will be provided.
